how to disable "Personal Record" pop-up screens?

I transfer all activities from 530 to desktop PC software for any substantive analysis , and rarely keep more than 1-2 rides stored on the 530.

As a result, nearly every ride creates new "personal records" displays, after I "save" the activity ... and I have to scroll through every "PR" display, before I can even access the "power off" function.

Is there any way to:

1) disable the "New Personal Record" displays?

and

2) disable end-of-ride "summary"?

I've tried (nearly) every setting I can think of, and no effect.

I never see "new personal record" displays, so there must be a way of disableing it, but I have never done it. In fact, I cannot even work out how to add personal records that I want and just have 3 listed that I presume are inbuilt into the 530 as I have no interest in them.

Whether you keep or remove activities from your unit after rides will not affect the 'New Personal Record' display. The records are not stored in the activities, there is a separate file for them.

I hate those personal record pop-ups, too. Did you ever figure out how to disable them?

Okay I think I got it. You want to go to your Activity Profile (e.g your Road profile) and disable "Segments" and "ClimbPro". I'll see if it stops bugging me on my next ride.

Also something that might work is go to data screens, select the Segments and ClimbPro and disable pop-up on approach. It's a little unclear the distinction.
