Replace 'Save' with 'Resume' option as first choice when pause ride

The fact that is very easy to accidentally save ride instead of resume it after pause is kinda annoying.

Oppositely as i.e. in Fenix 6, the highlighted option after pause ride on 530 is Save instead of Resume.  Do a missclick of Start/Select button automatically save the ride without any promt, and there is no way to resume saved ride on our 530's.

I assume that it can be improved only by new version od software, if Garmin will implement it?

  • If the start/stop button (bottom right button) has been pressed accidentally and the menu appears with Save, Resume, Delete, etc., just press the start/stop button again and it'll automatically close the menu and resume the recording. You don't need to scroll down to the Resume option in the menu.

  • Offering a different viewpoint, having Save as the default choice is fine. On Audax rides, the clock doesn’t stop until the ride is finished, so pause would rarely be used. As Kyle J notes, Start can be pressed again to resume a paused ride.

On the F6 (which has 5 buttons), having Resume as the default option is important, as all the Start/Stop activity happens through a single button.

With the Edge (which has 7 buttons), it requires pressing two different buttons to end the ride, so accidental presses are less likely. Accidentally hitting the Stop button twice (which is definitely possible with winter gloves, etc) will resume the activity.
