Problem with Heart Rate Sensor - HRM Tri

Hi there,

just got my new Edge 530 working yesterday and had a problem with my Heart Rate Sensor. I was able to connect the Sensor, but it didnt track the heart rate. Only for a brief time. So when i tried to connect the sensor again, the Heart icon was flashing and i said it was "active". Is it even possible to connect the HRM Tri, which i won, to the Garmin Edge 530?

And is it a problem, that i am wearing my Garmin 735XT at the same time, but not tracking an activity on it?

You can use any ANT+ HRM with the 530 such as your one. It doesn't matter if you are also using the 735.

Have you tried a new battery in the HRM?

I'm just back from a ride with my HRM-TRI, and no problems.

I suspect this is a problem with the way Garmin Connect imports previous sensor connections into new device.

1. Turn the Bluetooth Connection with your phone off.

2. Delete the current HRM pairing in the Edge

3. pair the HRM again. (Make sure you are wearing the HRM when you do it.)

Thanks for your Help! It was the battery, although i just changed it half a year ago. The first battery lasted about 3 years, now just a half year so i didnt expect that.

Works now!

Could have been a faulty battery. It happens.
