bontrager ION/RT configuration

I am using bontrager ION / RT with small ant + button and they work very nice. I recently got Edge 530 and i can see i could pair it so i did.

But! is there possibility to keep it paired but have control ONLY by button? Control from edge is bery basic and not ergonomic. Button is better, especialy because i use it often (when switching from trail-gravel path to tarmac with some traffic.

I wanted to have only battery level of lights on my panel, but control from my button.

As far as I know, this is not possible. When you connect with ANT+, the head unit overrides the button presses. I agree that controlling from the Edge is not perfect, but it's not too bad either. Most of the time Auto works fine for me. In instances where I want to change it, I just switch from Auto to Individual and it uses whatever I've specified in each light's Light Mode. Because these two combinations are enough for me, I only set up the Light Modes once.

The touchscreen 830 is much better suited to switching light modes. There are ConnectIQ apps designed for it:

yeah i know that app and for 830 it is cool. It is shame that there is no option for just "connect - do nothing" :(
