Need help with sensor issue

Just swapped out the batteries in both a Cadence sensor and a Speed sensor and now they both won't hold a signal. I've figured out what the problem is, but I need a hack to make them both work again. When both battery covers are in the lock position, it's not sending a signal unless I put pressure with my thumb at the center of the battery cover. The minute I release my thumb, my 530 loses the signal. The cover is definitely seated on both sensors, but for some reason, is not allowing the contact to properly pressure the battery to allow power. Anyone have some kind of jury rigging trick to get more pressure on the cover to allow a signal?

    1. Are you 100% sure you have fitted the right size batteries. The CR2032's, if that is what you are using,  can be mixed up with similar batteries diameter wise but there is another two batteries exactly same diameter but a different thickness. A thinner battery like a CR2025 may not be held in place by the cover in the battery housing and be loose. It's only a 0.7mm difference but enough to not work properly.

If batteries are correct, try a piece of foam or sliver of cardboard inside the cover to put a bit of pressure on the battery.
