Ok so I tested my Garmin 530 today for the first time. Aside from my gripes about the screen sharpness/quality and button ‘feel’ compared to my 130 I must say it’s very good overall (see my other thread).
Few questions on the nav;
I had trouble loading a route in and was in a hurry so just went out as normal. Halfway around I got lost so used the ‘return to start’ to get home which is very handy, especially the way it links with your iPhone and speaks to you from your pocket! However If I went to a different screen other than the map I couldn’t see that the navigation prompts would appear on the particular screen I was on So I had to go back to the map screen to see them.
Re; Climb pro, this came on twice when navigating home but I thought that only came on when you’d loaded on a route from Strava? For example no Strava segments came up? The climb pro feature is very good albeit a bit scarce as there were lots of other smaller hills that didn’t come up.
one other thing, in the forest I couldn’t see the trails on the map? Thought all of them would appear on it?
