What maps do you have enabled, (Menu>Settings>Activity Profile>[Select your Profile]>Navigation>Map>Map Information), Europe comes in two sections, perhaps if Greece is in a different section to your normal area then it might not be enabled and you would get a situation like that you have described

• Garmin DEM Map EU
• Garmin Ciclemap EU northeast 

Do you know how I  can get the right map? I think I will need a computer or is it possible to install it with an iPhone 

Greece is in the Garmin Cyclemap EU South West.

This forum reply (11 months ago) by a Garmin person suggests that it is NOT possible to update maps via the Connect phone app but only via a computer,

You say " ..I have activated the following.." so I assume you don't have the EU SW map installed but Disabled?

Otherwise if not installed then looks like you need a computer, the map file is several GBs

PS I guess you see what you describe but when I have been out of my map area the Garmin has shown a very low detail map via the Basemap so there might be something else happening after the update, you could try disabling the NE map to see if that changes anything, there are odd things that happen if maps have overlapping coverage but otherwise a computer is needed.
