Difficulty pairing Polar H10 ro Garmin Edge 530

 Hi there, I have the exact same setup, here is what I did:

1.  Download "Polar BEAT APP" (mobile).
2.  Wear the strap & sensor.
3.  Go to "Polar BEAT App /Settings/HR sensor" and pair your H10 (pairing works only within the polar app itself)
4.  Under "Settings/HR Sensor" you will see a few options, you should ENABLE ANT+ protocol.
5.  Turn your Edge530 On, go to Menu/Settings/Sensors/AddSensor
6.  Now your H10 should be displayed as a five digit code number, PAIR.
7.  Please rename it (optional)

If your H10 has an old firmware, ANT+ may not be available for broadcast

SOLUTION: update firmware using polar beat app,

WHERE: "Polar BEAT App /Settings/HR sensor"

Thanks for this. I have tried doing this, but there are still issues. I've reset Garmin but the Edge 530 just hangs on the "adding sensor? any ideas, It's very frustrating!

inthegarage2010 is your Edge finding the sensor? If so, please put a checkmark in the empty box next to the sensor you'd like to add and then go back up and select "Add Sensor" to actually add it to your Edge. 

HI yes, I've clicked the check box and it just hangs there. for minutes then it goes on sleep.
