I can auto upload my activities via WIFI as long as Bluetooth is switched off on my edge530.(android 11.0 os on OPPO phone)
Its frustrating that there is a whole heap features and safety features that require Bluetooth switched on edge530, I also have Fenix6x now.
after this mornings ride and the usual upload failure and plugged the USB into edge530, I then unplugged it, started & created a 10sec activity and no upload. switched off the bluetooth and the top of the screen upload arrows appeared and followed by a message of 2 activities uploaded, checked and confirmed online it was done.
Improvement suggestions.
when an activity is finished, the device should try to use WIFI connection as its faster and reliable.
edge530 Upload Ride button(forced upload) fails as I suspect that this feature is to upload via Bluetooth to the phone app only(even for a 10 second activity), one of my suspicions is that the fenix6x & previously fenix3 take precedence in connectivity to phone app as when I hit the sync button I see it always sync with the watch, even when I have selected the edge530 on the phone and hit its sync button.
whilst riding all messages from phone all go to the watch rather edge530(unless it can do both devices). A point to make is the edge530 / bike device is only switched on whilst doing an activity (reviewing also), it should become primary connection and watch secondary.
