Have used two different cables and two different PC ports.
As a test i connected my Edge 705 and it is still recognized. The 705 uses a different type of cable, however. When the 705 connects a different icon comes up on the screen, a little icon of a disk connection.
What should the 530 do? (Its a new item for me). Should it be off or on when i connect? Any difference? What should the 530 look like when it is connected? I have tried both having it either on or off when I plug the cable into the PC. When i connect the 530 to a PC port, the 530 just says "Garmin" and shows the icon of a battery charging (lightning bolt) and charge percentage. But, it does not come up on the PC as a disk drive.
Also have tried Garmin Express and Express just says, "connect your device" and never sees it, even though it is plugged in to the PC.
HELP! What to do???
