BUG gpx track follow

I'm using a lot my edge 530 to follow hiking gpx track. To save battery, i turn screen off when i don't need it. When it's then back on few minutes later, gps signal is back up and device often lose my route (no more route info, neither distance, and ascent remaining, etc..) .

Sometime my edge is able to get back on track after few minutes, sometime not...

To fix it, i always have to stop gpx track, and reload it. Route is quickly detected as soon as gps signal is up.

  • It sounds like you are turning the device off? A better option would be to use the battery save mode. This turns the screen off after a few seconds use until you push a button.

  • Edge is not really turned off, it's more a 'standby' mode,  screen off + gps off (simple press on power button). With this mechanism, i'm able to use edge without power recharge during few days.

A simple press on power button, and it get back on gpx track, and it get few seconds to sync gps signal back.

I'll try this battery save mode, thx.
