Navigating the menus on this device is near impossible! It has to be the worst designed and most confusing menu on any device ever! I've trialed the Edge 530 for the first time today. Constant warnings saying that the timer was still running and I needed to turn it off. No idea at all how to turn it off or why it ever started in the first place. You'd think searching through the menu for 'Timer' or 'Stop Watch' simply in order to follow the instruction to turn it off would be easy, but no! Absolutely impossible to locate. I could see the timer was running on the home screen, but as I couldn't switch it off the 530 decided of its own volition to go into 'Sleep Mode' this meant that I lost my map every few seconds during the ride. This meant I had to keep switching the device on manually. This meant warning messages kept appearing saying that constant switching on would deplete the battery and that I needed to switch off the timer! Arghhhh!! Who the *** designed this thing?!!!
That's enough ranting for one morning, but why, of why make something so incredibly difficult and stressful to use?!
Any advice on how to switch this thing off would be greatly appreciated.
