Block updates?

I'm quite happy on how my 530 performs with firmware 7.10 and would like to block updates to it, but cant find that option? Does that option not exist in Edge as it does in a Forerunner?

after a file has been uploaded to your device, you can cancel the installation. how do you know, you will not like the next version? how did you know that you will like 7.10 before installing?

Create empty file "GUPDATE.GCD" and put to the Garmin folder on the Edge.

The constant cancelling of the installation is annoying and one time you may inadvertently select wrong and start the update :P

My guess is- using only Bluetooth and never connect your edge to the laptop or wifi anymore.. then you will receive no updates anymore, but also no map updates as well

Can you read? What I wrote blocks updates and does not deprive you of any form of Edge communication with your phone....
Why complicate your life when there is a simple and effective solution

Where in the Edge folder structure should the file go?
