you may have ran your lithium battery down too low - it's damaged and can't recover. Google how lithium batteries should be treated. I would try again by buying another 530 and this time shutting it down if you're not using it.
Hi, to be helpful on this forum, please don't just write random things or guess an answer if you don't know. You don't damage batteries by running them 'too low'. Also, you probably haven't got a 530 as you would likely know that Garmin defaults and recommends that they be kept in standby when not it use. They will usually last several months in standby and can be recharged from completely flat, automatically rebooting.
