Widgets on 530

Why I can't put widgets in data fields windows?  I have had edge 130 and there was that option.

    Just moved from 130 to 530

    • How can I see weather and messages widgets during ride?  (I guess any widgets...)
    • Can I add to weather and messages to end of data field list like it was on my 130?

    On the 530 the weather and messages are part of the control loop. If you swipe down from the top of the screen that puts you in the control loop.

    What is the equivalent of "swiping down" with buttons on the 530?

    Sorry about that.

    If you are in an activity press the top right button, scroll down to status page, scroll down to widgets.

    Alternatively press the bottom right button to return to the home page, then the up button on the left, scroll down to widgets

    Thanks!  I figured out the second (alternate) method on my first ride alone with the 530, but had forgotten how I got there while riding with a friend yesterday.  I got self conscious fiddling with a new device while someone was waiting for us to keep riding...

    I'd still prefer as just another data page like on the 130, but this will work.

    Well, there is suddenly some improvement to accessing text notifications.  Pushing the top right button to access the menu during an activity brings up the menu, which now has "Missed Notifications" as the first choice.  So, still not available as a data screen like on the 130, but at least now it is many less button pushes to get to my notifications.  (No longer have to get back to the Status page.)
