Edge 530 not getting power from Kickr via Bluetooth

I've got a Kickr 2016 model paired via ANT+ to my PC running my training platform. PC controlling the power output. Also have an Edge 530 to record the ride separately. Nice for the training load.

I can add the Kickr bluetooth power sensor to the 530 just fine. But it doesn't display anything. Nothing has changed on the Kickr PC setup, and it has been working just fine for years.

Only difference is I'm using a different bike that doesn't have a power meter, so I now need to get it from the trainer.

I could be missing something, but I --thought-- that the Kickr is capable of sending power via Bluetooth, and that the Edge could receive power via Bluetooth as well.

It is generally best to use ANT+ connections rather than Bluetooth if possible. Connect the trainer to your Edge via ANT+ and see if that works. Pair it as a power meter so the Edge can't fight with your computer to control the trainer.

Connect the Kickr to the 530 as a power meter, not as a trainer. Zwift has already taken control of the Kickr as a trainer.

Ahhh, so the Kickr can be both an ANT trainer and an ANT power meter at the same time?

Yes. All the smart trainers can do this. It should be possible via Bluetooth too.
