Feature request zoom edge remote or button fux

Very happy with edge 530, but the zoom function on the maps page is quite cumbersome and tricky to perform on the bike while riding (especially with thick wintergloves)

Can this be improved, e.g. by holding the up / down button while on the nav paget zoom in/out resp.?

Or ideally, this feature is added to the remote edge programmable button.

This would make the edgw the prefect navigation device!

     That's a good idea but I'd rather prefer having the option to directly browse the map with "three dots" option with a long press of top right button,  instead of navigation through menus to select "browse map".

    Yes, the idea with the switching into a zoom mode on the map widget by long-pressing up or down buttons looks good - you don't need to change the hand position acting with the same buttons (instead of switching the mode on by top-right button, then operate with the opposite side - bottom-left buttons).

    But initially my request is about adding a mapping of zoom function to the custom button of Remote Control unit - I assume, you do need to zoom your map during the ride more often then start/pause/stop the activity.
