Strava routes no lonoger syncing as Courses, have tried all suggestions

I resolved my issue. I’m not 100% sure if one of the routes was corrupt, or I had created ‘too many routes’, but deleting lots of routes was the solution for me. If other people find that this works then Garmin have really dropped the ball as this is basic stuff to get right.

I also tried many suggestions from this and other forums and nothing worked for me, trying to sync old routes to a new device. but I found a work around that worked a treat. Go to Strava online to your Routes and edit by selecting Duplicate. Then save the duplicate route - you can retitle or use the same title. Then delete the original route and then sync your device again. I tried one route initially then went ahead with all the remaining routes, just 16 so not too much effort. Each 'new' route will have the date on which you created it, which seems to overcome the problem of syncing old routes to a new device. 

Same issue. Reset device & deleted everything. logged in on Connect & Strava & re-setup the connection between those 2

Done all this, several times, I can add them through IQ but it won't sync automatically.  You have my permission to contact me.

sounds like route definitions have changed, your duplication process sounds like the route is really recreated to the new standard, ideally strava should run some sort of batch process to upgrade.

I was stuck maybe in the same situation. Threre is (silent) limit of 100 routes on 530 unit. If you reach it nothing new will sync unless you delete old routes on the unit (nevertheless garmin app on your phone always says sync successful). 

Note to garmin: it would be nice of you if you implemented error/warning in that case.

I’m having these issues as well. I recently started using and edge 830 and now would love to add more courses from Strava without the need to plug in. I’ve done the trouble shooting steps (re-adding star, re-connecting Strava to garmin connect, deleting everything, re adding everything) no luck. Thanks, you have my permission to contact me directly.
