Hello. I have these problems with a new garmin 530 that I am thinking of returning.
The Auto light sensor sets the light too low. Very difficult to see the screen on sunny days.
The internal thermometer is out of order, 2-3 degrees higher than normal. I have the latest firmware 7.
Do you also notice these problems?
