Edge 530: Can''t stop the ride

Hi,

today a did a 100 k ride. After the ride I tried to stop it and save it as usual, but I only heard the beep sound and nothing else happened. I cannot even turn pff the device because it says that the Connect IQ app is running . I go to the connect IQ Apps it says that the ride is running and I need to stop it. So the device is in a kind of loop.

Can anybody help me. I don't want to lose the ride.

Same issue, was yours after loading a Strava route through the connect iq?

I sorted it by holding the power button down until it reset. The ride wasn't lost. It's obviously a bug

Edit: this is still happening as of yesterday. The ciq app is not closing after loading the route so you can't use the lap/stop buttons either. If you hard reset the device it'll restart with the activity paused then you can reload the route and ride as normal. Not ideal but it works.

Also had this issue after following a Strava ride.

Was impossible to get out of, I ended up plugging the Edge 530 into my laptop where it seemed to crash and restarted and after it came back it updated the ride thankfully as it was my first ride using the 530 after upgrading from the 520 plus.

Any updates from Garmin around fixing the issue????

Same problem here on my Edge 530 with firmware 7.0.0.0 after following a route started via the Komoot Connect IQ app.

Same issue after using komoot as track source for navigation. Couldn't stop the ride and got same message wrt the Connect IQ app. After connecting to a PC the ride/activity was stopped and was stored correctly.

Same issue with my komoot rides... Need Garmin firmware Update !!

Same issue here with a Komoot ride. Seems to be linked with Connect iQ.

Same problem for a Komoot ride. I had to let the battery die as I could not power down while Connect IQ was running. After restarting I tried the same at home - same issue...

Hard reset using the power button and it'll restart with the iq app closed.
