Firmware 7 EPO update issue?

I just installed firmware 7.0 and noticed that the EPO data do not update during a wifi-sync, but does when syncing with GCM (iOS).

Haven't really paid attention to this before, has it always been like this or is it a bug? Would be nice if it could update via wifi without the need to start GCM before each ride...

    I think this is a one-off issue after the FW update.

    The update process erases the existing EPO. EPO requires your current location - it can get this from the phone's location via GCM. But not when syncing via wifi. However, it can also get it over the GPS signal itself (takes about 13 minutes), so once you have used the Edge for a ride, it should have it, even if you sync over wifi.
