Average speed Vs summary average

When I do a ride, my average speed data field reports let's say 19.1 mph right up until I press stop to end the ride.

I then save the ride and look at the summary. The average is now 19.02 mph.

Is there any way to get these 2 figures in sync. Maybe they are calculated differently? Annoying when my final average is different than I thought it would be.

Its the difference between moving average and overall which includes stops/pauses.

If you view the activity in garmin connect - it shows the average/moving time and speed.

Yes. Also summary is to 2 decimal places Vs 1 decimal place on average speed data field, which rounds up.
