Two day rides, how to turn off?

Hello all,
I usually make two day rides, on the etrex 30x, I just turn it off, and then on when I want to start again.
On the 530 it doesn't let me turn it off without ending the activity.
How to make it in order to have only one activity?

You can turn it off using the power button without selecting any of the Save options. When you turn it back on, select Resume.
