Is it possible to view courses on the Edge 530 on Connect? Either mobile or Web. It's not really easy to check where a course goes on the 530 and I haven't always given courses the clearest of names

If you look on Garmin Connect web, you can see a map view of the start points of your courses (all courses created by you, not necessarily those sent to/still on your 530). This hopefully will narrow down the list of possibles. Mousing over the start point will show the actual route.
No.
Courses are created on other computers (using things like Garmin Connect and Ridewithgps), so there's already a list of them (not in one place, obviously).
The other issue is the course files on the device are just tracks. They don't contain the information (like control points) used to build it.
If you plug the unit into a computer, there are programs that you can use to view the course files.
Thanks, I'll see what I can find. I have at least one course on the Edge that is wrongly named and a few others that I want to check as I have tweaked them over time and want to get rid of the old ones.
The simples thing to do is probably just to delete them all from the Edge and reload the ones I need, but that just seems wrong somehow
I don’t keep courses on my device.
I wrote a Windows program that makes managing the files more convenient.
Google Earth. (Can't do Google maps.)
You might not find it useful. People using Garmin Basecamp apparently do (I wrote another program to let them do it after Garmin removed that feature).
Google Earth is a cool program in its own right but it's also a fairly convenient way to look a multiple routes at the same time. (Basecamp is fairly useful for that too.)
