Crash Replacement Program?

I crashed on my MTB today and broke the back / mount of my 530 - the charging pins appear to have damaged a circuit board as well.  Anyone know if Garmin has a crash replacement program?  I have had a great experience with my 530 - and would happily replace it.

  • Sure, pay them full price and they'll gladly send you another one Disappointed

I've never heard of Garmin having any kind of replacement program but it can't hurt to call support and ask them.

However, another approach to consider - how long have you owned the device?  Check out the benefits that exist for the credit card you used to make the purchase, if you did purchase it on a credit card.  Some cards have extended warranty benefits, others even have accident/damage replacement kinds of benefits.  Give the CC company a call and see what they will do for you.

  • Garmin's repair program gives you a refurbished unit for your damaged unit (in any condition, apparently).

You'd have to call Garmin to find out the cost for your unit.
