Edge 530 history issues -

the history on the unit is not updating - the dates show as either “Today” or “Yesterday” and the most recent ride is not at the top of the list. Any thoughts on how to fix?

    How many activities do you have on the unit?

    It seems like there might be a limit of 200.

    I did reset the unit when I first started having issues. There is less than 25 rides registered. BTW ride data is accurate on Garmin Connect

    I'm not sure if resetting will delete the activities.

    If you have them on GC, you don't really need them on the device (assuming you aren't using them for navigation).

    You might try to move them off (or delete them) and see what happens.

    Maybe, leave the last one.

    Your issue doesn't seem to be something other people are seeing.

    I have that issue. I ride plenty, but only rides from over a year ago are in history on the device

    I have same issue on 7.0

    It shows no more new rides i history but instread two random rides from last year.

    I have hundreds of rides since then, but  none of these are shown in history so I cannot use them for navigation :-(

    Also when I delete those some other old ones appear again after a ride but not the new one.

    Any help would be much appreciated as I want to reuse my riodes to navigate.

    I can use my old Wahoo I guess to do it but would rather use the Garmin colour screen if this can be fixed

    There's a limit to the number of activities and courses that the units can show.

    These units were never intended as places to archive all your rides.

    This won't be "fixed" (it's not considered as a "problem").

    I have exactly 2 rides showing in History!

    Are you actually saying Garmin 530 cannot store more than 2 rides?

    This is definitely a "bug" and should definitely be "fixed"

    You said you had "hundreds". The limit is like 200.

    How many files do you have in \Garmin\Activity ?

    Yes on the web (Garmin Connect) I see about 250 events each year (See graph below)

    But in history on the device after I deleted all it resynched 2 rides from March last year which seems totally random

    I realise its a cheap as chips computer that Garmin sells here with no memory to speak of at the price of a cheap smartphone but come on 2 rides is all it can handle in memory?

    By the way while I was trying to find the answer to your question I just tried to export a years worth as CSV from the Connect webpages and guess what it only ever drops 40 rows at a time :-(
