Update training status

I had an issue with dublicate uploads (Zwift activity + Garmin activity) for several months which obviosuly messed with my training status. I now deleted the dublicate zwift activities. Will the training status be recalculated? can I force a recalculate?

  • Training Status should only be calculated from activities recorded on your Garmin. Imported activities do not contribute to TS. Of course, imported duplicates may affect things like total distance, hours, etc.

Wow didnt know that. I thought training status is calculated online and then synced back to the device. (Cause my training stauts seems too high for just my garmin activities. Thought it must be the dublicates adding to it)

  • Garmin/Firstbeat Training Load is slightly different to TSS. Being based on Excess Post Activity Oxygen Consumption (EPOC), it is quite sensitive to intensity. Short, hard efforts (typical of Zwift races) can send it quite high, whereas their short duration means training stress as calculated by TSS is more moderate.

Firstbeat argue that this more accurately represents the load on the cardio-vascular system. Myself, I don't know enough about physiology to know which approach is right.
