Course points not appearing on Edge 530

I recently aquired an Edge 530. When uploading courses created on Garmin Connect where I added course points (water, summits,...) to the Edge 530, the course points do not appear on the device. The setting "Course points" is turned on. Could someone help me with this issue I'm having?

How are you getting the course from GC to your Edge?

Either via Bluetooth from GC Mobile to my Edge or via USB cable from my computer to my Edge (sync through Garmin Express). I've tried both. Neither of those methods manages to show the course points when I check the map details of the course of my Edge 530.

I don't think you see course points on the map. You should be seeing a pop up on the screen when you reach them while navigating the route they are in.

You see the course point icons on the map (on the 800/1030, at least).
