Can you restore data screen setting from a backup?

I had to reset my Edge 530. Can I restore my data screen settings from a backup I made containing all the data from the 530's Garmin folder.

Yes you can. Put the backup settings.fit file in the Garmin\Newfiles folder on the reset unit.

The screen configurations are in the Garmin\Sports folder and not in the settings file. The settings file contains sensors and data about the user.

If you backed up the Sports folder you can just drop the files in that folder into the Garmin\NewFiles folder on the unit.

Excellent tip there. I have just hard resetted my 520, and copying those files sorted me out. Hope I can copy to the new 530 and have it work as well!
