Rout send to garmin

I would like to have such a possibility too. For example. I use Google Maps on my smartphone to find a way to a place, Google plans a route, displays on its map and I can use it to navigate. But I would like also to send this route to my Edge. Unfortunaltely now I can only make a course - either manually point by point or automatically - enter distance and direction. It is uselless in my case. I read that Garmin accepts courses/tracks in gpx format. And Google Maps enables sharing its courses - but only as a link to Google Maps by e-mail or copy to clipboard. And perhaps another app would help? I use among others Osmand. I preperad a course in gpx format and tried to send it to Edge by Bluetooth. But no effect. So I shared this file by e-mail. Now Garmin Connect Mobile opened it but still wanted to make a course like a trening So I gave up. Perhaps somebody here will help

Transferring a Google route is a complicated process that does not work very well. You should be using the same map for plotting the route as is on the Garmin. Have you tried routing using Garmin Connect? Very easy to transfer to device.

I think the best route planner is Ridewithgps. Once set up, the route is transferred without you doing anything. Works great and the planning tools can’t be beat. 

Sending a saved course from Garmin Connect app to Garmin Device....

I have tried to do this a number of times.  It seems like it may work, but when I do this...it doesn't sync if I am on a current ride.    I have to stop my current ride, in order for the course to come across during the sync.   Maybe it's just me though.

There’s also GRouteLoader, which has a widget version, which means you can use it when recording an activity. 

Knowing whether you are using Android or Apple might be useful (the options are not the same).

I tried to install but there was info the app/widget requiers the latest firmware version 9.50. Which causes restarts

I have installed Google Maps, Osmand and mapy.cz installed on my phone. They are very good and free. But the 3 apps above are paid (premium versions) and I found some negative comments about them in Google Play. Now I understand why I have to use a little complicated method

Works fine on my 1030 (and 1030+). It’s also I haven’t seen this reported (there are 5000 downloads).
