INCOMPETENT

I have installed the new version 6.0 but it is not translated into Italian. I reset the device but the Italian language still does not appear. Before publishing the new signatureware you have to test them very carefully, the only adjective that comes to mind is: "INCOMPETENT". No more Garmin products ...

  • Sync via Garmin Express. That should install missing languages.

  • Garmin are not incompetent, just sync via Garmin Express and all languages will update.  I currently have 101 updates pending for mine including loads of languages, Firmware V6.00 and a load of biometric data.

Maybe you need to try the obvious before venting on here for no reason.

  • Italians are passionate aren't they.

  • I write as a programmer and, I assure you, it is quite simple for Garmin programmers to avoid certain serious inconveniences. I had to reset my Edge and took a long time to get everything back in place. It is not the first time that Garmin programmers publish firmware that does not live up to the famous brand. Therefore, I am incompetent or superficial in their work.

  • Let me make sure I understand this. Garmin provides two different methods to upgrade the firmware. But they behave differently. And it's the customer's fault for using the "wrong" method to upgrade?

Glad to hear there is a workaround by connecting via Garmin Express, but for a company actively selling to non-English speaking users, this does sound incompetent to have the default upgrade method fail to upgrade the language. Sounds like a typical Garmin to me.
