Do Garmins ever delete a ride right after you finish?

I'm getting frustrated with my Sigma Rox GPS. When I complete a ride, it gives me an option to "save" or "delete" what I just completed. Tonight, I pushed a non-functional button at this screen and the ride was deleted. Can this happen with the Edge 530? I might be ready for a new computer.

    It's possible. After you stop you'll have the option to save or discard. After thousands of activities I don't think I've ever accidentally pressed discard. But now you probably jinxed me. Laughing

    In addition, it’ll prompt for confirmation ”Discard ride without saving?: Cancel / OK”, defaulting to cancel (so you need additional down key press). So perhaps little less likely to happen by accident than in Sigma.

    In addition, the delete option requires several button presses to access.  The default option is "save ride" and to access delete you need to scroll to the bottom off the menu options to get to delete.  You could scroll in reverse to access with fewer presses, but the idea is that it is not a default option.  Then as mentioned, it will prompt again to confirm a delete.
