Maps have disappeared from device. Help!!

I updated firmware to 5.5 and loaded Europe map on Friday (also loaded Trailforks and wish I hadn't). Unit worked fine on Saturday - except it told me to head to compass routes rather than road names, which was annoying - but last night and this morning the maps have disappeared. Have plugged it back into my MacBook but apparently everything is up to date! No maps and elevation is weird

Can anyone advise please. The unit is 6 weeks old

I lost all my trail map content after a recent basemap update. To solve it I reloaded the maps again. This can be done in Garmin Express on the computer (I'm a PC user but I presume the Mac version is the same) tells you the maps are up to date, but clicking on details lets you load them again. See if you are able to do that. It worked for me.

I had a similar issue depending on the original age of your device it had one Europe map which has been split the device is rubbish at dealing with this so you ll need a manual fix....https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/edge-530/217502/turn-by-turn-help-on-courses-with-edge-530
