Turning off navigation whilst on a ride

If you mean stop a course of navigation from point A to B then just press the top right hand side button. This will bring a context based menu. One of the options will be stop course or stop navigation.

Correct. The recording will continue until you press the stop/start button.

Thanks mate, this has been driving me mad when I change route part way through

I find it annoying too. Sometimes there is construction and I have to go off my chosen course and take another route for a few km's, while other times I just want to try a different street for a while, Why can't there be just a one touch pause solution of the avigation for a while, and then resume it when I am close to my course again? It would be a simple software update. Instead, I have to listen to the unit tell me to make a U-turn every 30 seconds, or have it constantly telling me to turn down streets that are way too busy and/or dangerous to cycle on. I don't understand why they can't do something about this constant annoyance. The unit is great as long as you stay on course, once you venture off of it, it becomes EXTREMELY ANNOYING!!!
