Separate wheel circumference for activity profile

I use 2 activity profiles

INDOOR

OUTDOOR

I use automatic wheel circumference for outdoor (garmin / cadence sensor and wheel magnet).

For indoor I use manual circumference as I use a trainer tyre which is different size and automatic won't work as no GPS inside!!

at the moment if I change the wheel circumference its global for all activity profiles and not for each one :( Enhancement or way round this?

We do not have any available settings to tie a Wheel Size setting to an Activity Profile. This setting is within each sensor that is transmitting the speed data.

use seperate cadence speed sensors

one cadence sensor on the bike frame
and one speed sensor on every wheel

this is the draw-back from Garmin using a 'sensor pool'

I would set the size of your wheel manually in the speed sensor settings and not worry about the difference when on the trainer as speed/distance isn't really relevant in that situation so the slight differences won't matter much.

think I'm going to use an old head unit (310XT) and run them at the same time (with different wheels circumference).

Yeah, I have the same question. My primary bike is 700c but the bike that’s usually on the direct-drive trainer is 650b. Would love it if I could set Indoor profile for actual front tire circumference. Kickr is set for actual circumference so app gives me correct mileage and avg speed, but Garmin reports much higher mileage and speed. I guess solution for now is to just not use the Garmin.

This would require using separate sensors when riding indoors vs outdoors, or you would need to manually change this setting if you only have access to one sensor.
