Edge 530 disconnects from the USB connection

Hello,

When I am charging my Edge 530 (s/w version 5.50) from the USB connection to my MacBook (Mojave), it disconnects after a few minutes.

I'm not using a USB hub.

Does anyone have a solution?

    When you say disconnect, does it boot up into the normal screen and MacOS notify you of a improperly ejected device?

    The "normal" behaviour with the EDGE unit and MacOS is that when the Mac goes into sleep mode, it will disconnect the EDGE but it will still continue supply a charge. Waking the computer again won't make it "connect" again. You would need to plug the EDGE unit out and back in again.
