Edge 530 loosing connection to Phone during activity

Hi, my Edge 530 is showing the loosing connection to Phone message, a second later is showing the phone reconnected message, during activity. The live track log is OK, but the message keeps poping during the ride. I have tested with only the BT connection and with the BLE and BT connection! Help please.

Hi,

Had the same issues both with my 830 and 530. The only solution for me was to disconnect from my phone and then restart with just Wi-Fi. Just installed the latest version 8.13 Beta - need time to test it.

tfidalgo What model phone are you paired to, and what troubleshooting have you already completed?

Try putting your phone in one of your side pockets, rather than the middle pocket. Bluetooth low energy doesn't penetrate well through the body.

Former Member my phone is a LG V30, my friends phone is a Samsung S8 with the same issue. After all the firmware updates the issue seams to vanish. I have repaired the device several times during troubleshooting with no valid solution. Now its working.

Its not a issue, i'am using the same phone paired with a FR245 in the back pocket of my shorts and its working just fine.

Hi! Same issue with my 530 and Samsung A51 phone. Bluetooth connection works well until I start an activity. After some minuts from starting the activity (1 to 5 minuts, not always the same) message "phone connection lost" is shown. The only way to reconnect it is turning off and on Bluetooth in the phone and also restarting Garmin Connect app.

I use live track in 530 and I WiFi is also on.

Any idea about how to solve this issue? Because that, I can not use live track or group track functionalities.
