Following course which loops back on itself

When I’m following a route (today’s is created from a previous activity) with multiple loops it is very hard to work out which route to take first as the map screen is so cluttered. Are there any settings to make this easier? Picture below for clarity.

    I doubt there is - routes which loops back on itself totally confuses the unit -Currently there's no computiong ability for the unit to tell whether you've been through this route so skip and try another instead. We've always been advised to design routes which don't start and end at the same spot. You overestimate the unit's capability. It's not designed by NASA or Microsoft.

    Settings> Profiles> [Profile name]> Navigation> History Line Color may allow you to pick a color that offers better contrast.

    Thanks, I can see the history line ok, its just where I come to a junction or if there are two course lines close to each other I find confusing.
