Can't find satelites

Hello everyone I got a new Edge 530 a couple of days ago and was very happy with it at first but recently it has been unable to find any satelites. It just keeps 'acquiring satelites forever.

I also recently updated to v5.50 but the GPS still worked for a bit (a day) after updating to it. I also tried updating to the newest beta v5.51 to see if maybe the v5.50 update had gone wrong, to no avail.

What I already did in terms of troubleshooting:

Left the device sitting outside for ages on all possible satelite systems(Glonass, Galileo, gps)

Resetted: first only settings then a full data reset.

Reinstalled the maps via Garmin express.

Checked EPO in the about page: current.

Checked gps version : v2.90

I hope that one of you knows what could be wrong, I'm startint to think that I bought a defective unit.

Depending on where you are located, perhaps try using only GPS.

Hey Martin, thanks for the answer. I have already tried using GPS only. I have even rode my bike to an open field 30km away from home to test it there, without any luck.

Thats frustrating. Probably get it exchanged for another unit, but considering all the forum posts in the 530 and 830 forums, if your'e not locked into Garmin, perhaps try Wahoo. Seems like Garmin are scrambling getting these units to work properly for many many people...
