Show distance to go in trail currently riding

Is it possible to show on a Garmin Edge device how many km left in the trail currently being ridden? I haven’t seen a way of doing this other than possibly with Strava live segments, but I’m hoping there’s a way to do it using just the device and Trailforks data.

Distance to Destination is the data field you need, assuming you are following a course.

Thanks for the suggestion. I rarely use a course so I didn’t even think of this, but the use case I was considering is simply when I’m out riding and just want to know how much i have left before I finish the trail I’m on.

The unit has no way of knowing where you are going to finish, you might be planning to turn of the trail

In my mind it’s the same idea as Strava Live Segments, without having the need for Strava. The unit does know where the trail finishes so it seems reasonable to me to assume that’s the finish line. If the rider turns off the trail, then you’re on a new trail and it would start showing distance left on the new trail. It doesn’t have to be super accurate, just knowing how much is left in this segment/trail would be beneficial for me.

Strava segments have a defined start and end point so the unit knows where they are.
