Device transfer failure due to embedded Strava segments?

The device transfer feature has always been very hit-and-miss. I probably get a 50% success rate.

Since 5.50, this has dropped to 0%. I have a suspicion it's not the firmware, but the type of course I'm trying to transfer. I'm using the new Strava 'auto-transferred' courses that contains some starred, embedded segments.

Even though the receiving device say "Transfer failed, try again", there is a partial course, that happens to end at embedded segment.

Has anyone else witnessed this?

PS We are both paying Strava members so have Live Segments on our devices.

The fact that the file references segments is not the issue as the transfer does not look at the contents.

The person receiving the file would need to have those segments on their unit for them to get triggered while following the course. You would both need to have those segments starred.
