New edge 530 heart rate recording stopped

I have been using my edge 530 for almost s month mostly on my trainer. I did a 90 min. Road ride the other day. The heart rate monitor cut out after about an hour. I heard a beep while riding but did not realize that occurred when the hrm stopped recording. My speed sensor worked for entire ride. I have not encountered this issue while on my trainer.

i need help figuring out the root cause and what can be done going forward to prevent this from re-ocurring. I need to know if there any sort of error logs that can be reviewed.

Have you checked the battery in your HR sensor?

If i understand correctly you are referring to the battery of the chest strap unit. That i have not done but i have only 10 hours of use since i purchased the unit.

I am referring to the chest strap unit. Sometimes you get bad batteries so it is a quick and easy thing to check.

Is everything working now? Sometimes you can get a glitch and lose sensors on a ride and then there are no problems on subsequent rides.
