ClimbPro with .gpx without elevation data

Funny thing happened this weekend. I loaded a .gpx course without elevation data, and ClimbPro came up with a climb during the ride.

I do have another course stored on the device including the same climb AND with elevation data. That course was however not selected.

The climb pro uses the build in map to calculate climbs I am sure. Not the file. That's one reason it takes a while to load course.

Did you place the GPX on the GPS directly via USB, or did you have the Garmin Connect app calculate a course based on the GPX first and sent that to the Edge?

Negative - loaded many .gpx without elevation data and without climb detection.
