5.50 not on Garmin Express

Just logged into GE and I don't see 5.50 on there. Any reason why??

Would be nice if they also provided a download link like they do the Beta software.

How has it been 2 days when the announcement thread was 1 day ago?

Just speculating: maybe the phased rollout of 5.50 has been halted, because some issues have been found that weren't detected in the long beta phase preceeding this update? Something like Strava changing…

Garmin Express does not report the build on the unit, but rather reports the latest build it has access to for that unit.

Thanks, Does that mean it will not reflect the change until it "officially" rolled out via GE or GC? I updated via the "sticky thread" link.

I sent a support request to Garmin about the issue and they confirm the same, here's the message from them - "Garmin Express may not see it (5.50) yet until its 100% rolled out, as long as the edge shows 5.50 in the menu > settings > system > about, you should be fine."

I was having some sensor dropouts while running with the 5.10 firmware. I've done a short ride with the 5.50 firmware and saw no issues. I have a longer ride planned for tomorrow, so I'll see how that goes.

Garmin Express will show what builds your unique unit has access to. So depending on what group your unit is in with a phased roll-out will determine when build 5.50 shows up.
