5.50 not on Garmin Express

Great.... Didn't notice in the first place.... my bad !

It comes up after some time.  I also updated via the Zip file.  

I connected the 530 to my Mac the next day, and Express read it properly as 5.50.

Still waiting for Express to update since yesterday....still doesn't recognize it for me ...

Is this ever going to progress from 10%?

Just been updated to 20%, so very slowly progressing. 

I thought that maybe it was due to Garmin Express itself not updating, it was still at 6.14.0.0 earlier today and I tried doing the update via the link in the About screen, but that kept failing. I finally updated GE by downloading it fresh for the Garmin site. It's now at 6.21.0.0, but my 530, which is at FW V5.50 (via the manual update) still reports in GE as version 5.10.

Checked again this morning with GCM (4.31.0.36) and 5.50 has not been deployed.  I am unable to use the USB ports on my machine - I guess I'm stuck waiting or is there another option?

The only way to use the zip file method (mentioned previously in this thread) would be to connect via USB. Is it a port issue on your computer or the USB cable? Some USB cables (if it's not the one that came with the Edge unit) may only be for charging devices and not have the data lines connected. I've also gone through many a USB hub with bad ports.

Yeah, that stinks, I used to connect mine at work too, but had the same issue. Now when I commute in to work I just do the ride sync via my phone and any FW updates I do from my home computer (Mac in my case).
