5.50 not on Garmin Express

Just logged into GE and I don't see 5.50 on there. Any reason why??

Would be nice if they also provided a download link like they do the Beta software.

How has it been 2 days when the announcement thread was 1 day ago?

Just speculating: maybe the phased rollout of 5.50 has been halted, because some issues have been found that weren't detected in the long beta phase preceeding this update? Something like Strava changing…

What's their problem? Now many of these devices are there out there that they take 5 days for a simple update?

Guys, the 5.48beta has all the fixes and features already. The 5.50 is the official release of 5.48. We will get the final release as soon as possible...

Day 4: On hold for another hour or so to find out the status of the update and request again they email me the firmware.

If the 5.50beta is the same as the 5.48beta, then Garmin has a lot of work to do.

Just got off the phone with Garmin. 5.50 has all of the changes that 5.48 has, but there are a lot more. Rollout still at 20%. I will call again this afternoon.

3 days passed, no news, no 5.50. Garmin-Matthew - can you please update us on this? if there's an issue with the firmware i don't mind waiting...

This customer service from Garmin is seriously bad form, no matter how one slices it, lockdown or not; To post a status update on a forum can be done from home, on the couch in nothing but shorts.
But, I'm also not too surprised. I associate as much risk installing release software as I do Beta software, since I cannot distinguish any pattern of stability or reliability between them.
I see no reason why V5.5 should be any less problematic as Beta 4.48.
