Strava segments with negative gradient

I recently bought a new 530 having read about the Live Segment feature linking with Strava. Having failed to load many of my local segments I know discover that any segment with a p% average gradient (ie, flat!) will not load if the start point is a foot higher than the end point, even if this is over a 600 metre length.

This is a poor design feature and needs attention. It can’t be rocket science to adjust the calculations. Please could Garmin Support comment on this or advise how to raise an ‘improvement suggestion’.
