Another Strava Live Segment Question

Boy, it is a lot of effort to configure this thing. I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

I'm trying to configure the Strava live segment screens -- the page that shows up on a segment.

Which data field shows my time on the segment?  Not my elapsed time for the whole ride, or my "time to go," but my time on that segment, so that I can compare (as I'm riding it) to the KOM or PR?

Thanks in advance!

  • You actually cannot see your total time on the segment, but you can see how far ahead/behind you are of the VP that you are chasing.

Use Time Ahead and Distance Ahead data fields to see your time/distance compared to the VP at each point along the segment as you rid it.

  • This would be a really good improvement. Some times time ahead/behind is not useful due to poor GPS signal. These times the time gap is random, because it changes from 20 seconds ahead to 30 seconds behind (for example) immediately. I have located three or four climbs in muy usual routes where that happens every time. So, the time ahead/behind does not provide accurate information. If you could see de actual time you are spending in the segment (in one of the slot for the data fields) you would have a reliable reference. I think this is not a very hard to implement feature (I would prefer an accurate time ahead/behind, but the two of them are compatible).
