Garmin keeps looking for satellites while connected to computer for charging. Constant beeb beeb beep. Very annoying. What can you do about it (except disable GPS or sound) ?

If you are charging the device at home, you clearly are not cycling. So why keeps it looking for satellites ? Why doesn't German offer a possibility to disable this ?

Your options are to turn the device off or if you must keep it on you could put in in the indoor profile which turns off the GPS or go into the settings and turn off the GPS.

Actually, that's not true. Look underneath the mount and you'll see the contacts where you can connect the Garmin battery to allow charging while cycling.

I just turn my device off while charging.

On long rides, I sometimes charge the battery WHILE I am cycling, and want it to continue to record while charging.

If the device is already off when you plug it in (eg. at home), it will open the charging screen, but it won't turn on. Or you can just turn the device off yourself while charging.
