Somebody please tell me they actually find Virtual Partner useful ????

It must be the most popular request - how do i switch off Virtual Partner !!!!

    remove virtual partner from the data screen associated with your ride profile.

    I sometimes find it useful when trying to beat a PB.    It is brutal though as you are just riding against an average speed across entire route,  and not the times you last made at each point of the ride.    (hills).

    it might be useful in an indoor trainer environment but it's virtually impossible in real life which makes it useless and disconcerting to see it launch while you're still trying to clip-in. Another 'sounds good in theory' feature that works out to be a fail in real life.

    I've requested this often. I think Garmin is keeping it around to spite me.

    You can hide the data screen, but you're stuck with the extra arrow on the map screen and the dopey pop-up when you "lose" to the virtual partner. 

    In theory you could remove pace/speed information from the *.gpx file before uploading, but I can't get this to work.
